The styled font that still looks professional
Small caps are the one Unicode style that survives a serious context. Where gothic or cursive read as decoration, small caps evoke book typography. It is the usual pick for a LinkedIn headline or an email signature.
A phonetic origin
These characters do not come from a decorative block: most are symbols from the International Phonetic Alphabet, used by linguists to transcribe sounds. That explains their excellent support — they have existed for decades and ship with almost every system font.
The missing letter
One thing to know: Unicode has no small capital q. Every generator therefore leaves that letter as an ordinary lowercase. It shows up in words like "quick" or "question", where the break is noticeable.
